While Bruce Springstein sang about Glory Days,  Dean Monroe did him one better by writing the book, "Glory Days" which sings the praises of the good old days in Jay county, back when there were eight high schools, when small town rivalries, such as the Little Four Tourney, sold out gymnasiums in such places at Poling, Bryant, and Dean's hometown of Pennville.

Dean takes you back to the beginning, and introduces you to the stars, players and coaches of yesterday's Jay county. Completed in 1998, this book covers all eight Jay county high schools from the birth of basketball in the early part of the century all the way up to 1975, when the current Jay County High School was opened.

Relive the golden age of basketball in Jay county with GLORY DAYS.
