The Wabash Valley High School Basketball Tournament

This lengthy tome covers the final 16 of the Wabash Valley Tournament from its inception in 1916 to the last tourney in 1972. This tourney, which was the largest invitation high school tourney, at one point encompassed more than 140 high schools from Indiana and Illinois. Most years the tourney took two weeks to play.

Included are box scores from all championship games, as well as the results from the preliminary round of 16.  Explore the reason one Terre Haute coach vowed to kill the tourney, and what precipitated his feud with another well-known Terre Haute coach.
